SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY~20

He cleared his throat with obnoxious intent, not bothering to cover his mouth.


“Oh!” she exclaimed, whirling around to confront him.  “It’s you, Jett!”


Gown gathered with one arm in a careless gesture across her front, Cruz noted what the smooth fabric missed--A generous portion of exposed cleavage. He lifted his gaze to her face as his sizzling brain registered she’d mistaken him for his twin brother and recognition mixed with disappointment slammed into his gut.


The spitfire tomboy who hounded him and Jett interfering with their boyhood exploits for most of his youth had turned into quite a beauty. “My, my," Cruz tsked, “such foul language, and from such a beautiful mouth.”

    Love these types of books, where the tomboy becomes a woman and the childhood playmate takes an interest in her. Love your sixes!
