HUMP DAY HOOK~5

Happy Hump Day! Every week a group of us get together and post a paragraph from either a wip or completed book--the brain child of author Kerrianne Coombes!  Today's hook comes from my upcoming release, The Doctor's Deception which releases Friday, November 30th from Evernight Publishing!  I hope you enjoy!

What’s so funny?”  Dr. Lassiter asked.

Faith stiffened and her amusement died.  Damn.   She’d hoped to be at lunch when he arrived to check on Mrs. Humphrey.  Fate was definitely against her today.

Turning, she came face to face with him.  She stepped back and bumped the rail of the bed.  “Nothing.  Just thinking about something that happened earlier.  It kind of tickled my funnybone, that’s all.”

“Why don’t you tell me what’s so amusing?”

“I’m not in a particularly sharing kind of mood.”  His scent crossed the inches of space he’d left between them, teasing her senses.  He smelled of lemons and spice.

Hmmmm.  His own brand of lemonade.
What was she thinking?  Holy cow! Stay away from those thoughts in connection with Robo Doc.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  The Doctor's Deception is available from Evernight Publishing on Friday at www.evernightpublishing.com !  Don't foget to check out the other Hump Day Hooks at http://kerriannecoombes.wordpress.com/  I promise, you won't be disappointed!

Hmmm... I think fate might be WITH her today!
(BTW, I think your formatting got messed up when you pasted & you're missing some spaces between words, but I was able to figure it out. :)

I love lemonade, too, Sarah. And these two characters make me laugh the way they are both so hard headed!
