I was wondering if you all thought that it is possible to have love if there is no attraction?  I believe the answer is yes. Sometimes people start out as friends and build a bond that grows into mutual love and attraction.  These are the kind of relationships that can last a lifetime.  I guess it is the hopeless romantic in me...but I do believe that relationships such as these can lead to a very special happily ever after!
If you leave a comment as to your own experience with attraction, you have a chance to win a free e-book copy of my current release, Dating Impossible! Now here is a couple that has has a lot of attraction!

Morning! It's Wednesday and time for another Hump Day Hook! This week's hook comes from a free read I'm working on. My heroine is a peeping Tom...LOL..Enjoy! Don't forget to check out the other authors participating in this week's Humping at:

Sierra hummed and left her apartment, noticing her sexy new neighbor's apartment door stood half open. She'd seen glimpses of him unloading boxes through the window earlier, and had shamelessly gaped. Silently sending the Dating God prayers of thanks, Sierra had gotten her binoculars out and examined every inch of what must be at least a six-foot frame of muscled USDA PRIME.

Oh. My. God! Absolute perfection!

Fanning herself with one hand, and still holding the binoculars with the other, she'd ogled the perfect specimen before her. Snug black t-shirt covered a broad, well defined chest. He'd stacked a box on top of another and lifted both easily, biceps flexing. Her mouth had gone dry. She angled the binoculars to take in the rest of the yummy view. Black jeans clung to powerful thighs and a firm ass.

Wonder what's up with the all black motif? The object of her attention had looked up then and had caught her--binoculars and all. Never one to be shy about her overt nosy nature, she'd smiled and waved.

Until next week!

WOW! Almost the entire first month of baseball has gone by. What an emotional week for Boston this week! My heart goes out to all the families and friends of those killed an injured by such senseless violence.

As Fenway Park opened it's doors again to resume America's favorite past time, the Red Sox overtook the Royals in an emotional win! What an exciting game that was! And the pre-game ceremonies honoring victims of the bombing along with Boston's first responders--EMS and Police alike--were tear and thought provoking!

As for my precious Diamondbacks this week...we had some ups and downs. Unfortunately, Jennifer Simpkins "Skankees" took the series 2-1,  but #1 - Didi Gregorius did hit a home run to help us win the last game 6-2! He's going to be a great addition to the Dbacks this year! Look forward to seeing more of him...

So...the standings are:

Atlanta Braves 13-5 Still in first place in NL East

NY Yankees 10-7 Now in 2nd place in the AL East

AZ Diamondbacks 10-8 Now in 3rd place in the NL West's not over 'til the fat lady sings and we have many many more months of baseball to go.

As a side note...Pitcher Wade Miley is part of this weekend's Diamondback festivities.  At Saturday's game, they're giving out Wade Miley Gnomes as part of Dback's promotions.  Apparently, this young man has an obsession with gnomes! Now isn't that cute? I won't be at the game as I will be in New Orleans for the Jazz Festival, but I am getting mine through a friend who will be attending the game in my place. **squees with delight**  I can't wait to add it to my growing collection of Dback's memorbillia!

To see what the other two babes are up to go here to visit author Jennifer Simpkins:

And for Eden Connor go here:

Welcome to Evernight's first Book Boyfriend Blog Hop! Our heros can be strong and sexy, dark and dangerous, rebellious and reckless or cute and quirky. We love to fall in love with these irresistible heroes and Evernight Publishing has them all! The authors of Evernight invite you to a Speed Date challenge. Their cowboys, Doms, detectives, millionaires, royalty, doctors, vampires, soldiers, shifters, even steam-powered heroes are waiting to meet you on each author website. 50 heroes in 7 days! Are you up for the challenge?

Pull up a chair and get to know every single one. I’d love to introduce you to my hero...

So let's get busy! I wanted to showcase one of my Avery twins! More specifically, Dr. Cruz Avery from my current EP release, Dating Impossible.  Actor Julian McMahon was my inspiration for these bad boys! Here he is in a bit of a casual dress day, LOL.

Here is Dr. Avery in his own words. I do so hope you enjoy the little scenario I've set up centering you in my speed dating piece and remember Dr. Cruz Avery when you vote for your favorite EP Book Boyfriend!

The ballroom of the Phoenician Grand Hotel is set with 50 tables all covered in white table cloths. Romantic centerpieces with fragrant gardenias, roses, and sprigs of green are placed around cinnamon and vanilla scented candles. Dr. Cruz Avery looks straight at you from across the speed dating table and pierces you with those deep gray eyes. The seductive heat burning deep within mixes with the heady aroma permeating the air and your heart rate drums out an erratic staccato beat against your rib cage.

You slowly exhale the breath caught in your throat and give the good doctor the once over. Dark hair neatly combed is still damp from a recent shower. His broad shoulders fill the dark navy blue Armani suit he wears with crisp white shirt and silver tie that has a bluish tint to the silk fabric. Chiseled, clean shaven jaw, straight nose, firm full sensual lips…tendrils of heat curl low in your belly and you smile.

This is your chance. You get to pick any man to date from this room. Pure feminine power surges and you give Dr. Avery a seductive smile of your own and introduce yourself. He holds out his hand and grasps your palm in a firm, but gentle grip. A teasing glint enters his eyes and he kisses the back of your hand. “Nice to make your acquaintance,” he says in a deep, sultry baritone that sends shivers up along your arm.

You give yourself a mental shake to clear it of all the images flashing in your mind of just where the good doctor could place his tongue and those lips… you only have five minutes girl…firmly reigning in your libido you ask the doctor the questions you’ve scribbled out ahead of time and this is how he responds:

1. What is your main priority when planning a date with your special girl?

A slow grin spreads across his face.  "You," he says with a certainty that sends desire rippling across to your core and dampens your panties.  "Every woman is different, and like a fine wine, they are to be savored.  When I plan a date, you will know that every detail selected is designed to cater to your every fantasy."

2. Do tattoos and piercings turn you on?

"Of course." A deep throaty chuckle escapes his full red lips.  "I especially like finding where you've placed them."

3. What is your favorite sexual position?

A glint of wickedness enters those dark gray eyes and he scrubs his chin thoughtfully.  "I just plain love sex," he says.  "But it's not just the's how you get there that is most fun!"

4. Chocolate or flowers? How do you make up after a fight?

"That," Dr. Avery says, "definitely depends on the fight, wouldn't you say? But more importantly, I'd say my answer would be how I'd use the petals of a fragrant bouquet or some melted warm chocolate to pleasure you with when I beg for your forgiveness, wouldn't you agree?"

Holy Smokes! Those visions of the good doctor feathering my clit with soft petals or licking chocolate from me fill my head.  This man knows how to pleasure a woman and isn't afraid to use everything at his disposal... Definitely something to look forward to!

5. Seduce me in five words or less…

Again that delicious wicked glint enters his eyes and he winks.  "Foot rub baby?"

Ooooooohhhh! That does it! A man who has a foot fettish? I'm in!  Which book do I find you in?

So now you've met my hero...What’s up for grabs?

Yeah! So the first week of Major League Baseball has commenced! I hope you're supporting your local teams ;)
As I stated last week, my home team is the Arizona Diamondbacks and I'm going to recap a bit of Opening Day in our season opener against the St. Louis Cardinals.

We had a great time getting back into the groove of baseball! The field...the smells of stadium dogs and nachos...and the baseball hotties! Here is Hill hi-fiving Marte, one of our new outfielders!

Batting practice...

Before the game I got an autographed opening day baseball from new pitcher Brandon McCarthy!
Our guys were having a bit of fun coming in from the Outfield!
And of course, we did beat the Cardinals 6-2 so it made for a perfect Opening Day at Chase Field! Complete with Fireworks! Whoop!

So who is your favorite baseball team? And how did they do on Opening Day? Don't forget to stop by Eden Connor's site for her in progress baseball wip here:

And Jennifer Simpkins is bemoaning her Yankees poor start to the season here:

Sorry should only get worse for your team...

Dbacks are ahead in their division 5-1!! Whoop!!

Good morning! Hope you're off to a rockin' Hump Day! #HDH is a weekly blog hop where authors of all genres share a snippet of their work. For the complete list of authors participating, go here:

For this week's hook, I'm going to share a bit from Nurse Faith Daniel's pov. Let's see what she really thinks about Dr. Lassiter in The Doctor's Deception. LOL

Faith turned to her open locker and grasped her stethoscope.
She wrapped it around her neck, then slammed the door shut with enough force that it bounced back open. She was going to have to deal with him for the fourth shift in a row. The thought depressed her.

Dr. Stone Lassiter.

God’s gift to cardiovascular surgery…At least in his own,
over-inflated opinion.  A derisive snort escaped her and she closed her locker. Since he’d come to Deerborne County General last year, she’d made it a habit to avoid him as much as possible. But, when forced to deal with his anger when he was on a roll, she fired right back with an overexaggerated
sweetness guaranteed to get on his nerves. Her behavior
was childish, she knew, but she couldn’t seem to help herself. His superior, know-it-all attitude made him an easy target.
What he needed was a healthy dose of his own medicine now
and then, and Faith was very good at medication administration.

That's all for today's snippet. If you liked my snippet and want to learn more about Faith and Dr. Lassiter, you can go here:

Happy Hump Day~Peace Out!

Morning Hookers! Hump Day Hook is a weekly blog hop where a group of authors get together to showcase a piece of their work.  This weeks hook comes from my release, The Doctor's Deception available here from Evernight Publishing:  Don't forget to stop by the other author's sites who are also sharing a paragraph of their wips or current releases here:  Now to meet Dr Stone Lassiter a heart surgeon who needs to learn to chill out.  He'd has just learned the nurses are not happy with him.
Stone walked into the nurses' station and his gaze locked on one nurse in particular.

Well, except maybe her.

Faith Daniels.  A cool, green eyed blonde, with her long hair coiled at the nape of her neck.  Five-foot, eight inches of pure trouble.  Was she one of the nurses who'd complained? He seemed to remember her asking him to be a little more respectful of the nursing staff, but he couldn't remember the details.

Stone rubbed his jaw, trying to recall those details.  To tell the truth, he hadn't paid much attention to what came out of her mouth when she spoke. He teetered on the fine line of the doctor/nurse relationship when it came to Faith.

Until next week Hump Day folks!

Welcome to Opening Day! As a baseball fan, I've followed major league baseball since a child.  My dad instilled a healthy respect for the entire baseball experience.  As an adult, I enjoy baseball on many levels and as an Arizona Diamondback Season Ticket holder, I get my chance to do just that!

Fellow Romance Authors Jennifer Simpkins and Eden Conner are going to do this weekly blog with me every Monday sharing snippets of their current wips (as their main focus in their writing is baseball heros).  I currently don't have any type of baseball hero but am thinking that a sports medicine angle might work out really well for me in a future book. To read their posts today you can reach them here: and

Here is a picture of the scoreboard of the Arizona Diamondbacks! I went to the exhibition game on Saturday against the Reds and took a few pictures.  Of course, next week I will share some of today's opening day happenings!
The boys of summer warming up during batting practice! Don Baylor the coach has #25 on his shirt stands to far left. To his right is #15, Ward and #32 Jenkins.
Here is me and Mark Grace! Who has yet to win a "Legends" Race at Chase Field. LOL

Today's opener should be a good one. The Dbacks go up against the Saint Louis Cardinals. You can follow along on twitter @Dbacks and use the hashtag #GoDbacks I will be there in section 213 cheering my boys on! Stop by and say hello or catch me on twitter @kathleengrieve
