BASEBALL BABES~4

WOW! Almost the entire first month of baseball has gone by. What an emotional week for Boston this week! My heart goes out to all the families and friends of those killed an injured by such senseless violence.  

As Fenway Park opened it's doors again to resume America's favorite past time, the Red Sox overtook the Royals in an emotional win! What an exciting game that was! And the pre-game ceremonies honoring victims of the bombing along with Boston's first responders--EMS and Police alike--were tear and thought provoking!

As for my precious Diamondbacks this week...we had some ups and downs. Unfortunately, Jennifer Simpkins "Skankees" took the series 2-1,  but #1 - Didi Gregorius did hit a home run to help us win the last game 6-2! He's going to be a great addition to the Dbacks this year! Look forward to seeing more of him...

So...the standings are:

Atlanta Braves 13-5 Still in first place in NL East

NY Yankees 10-7 Now in 2nd place in the AL East

AZ Diamondbacks 10-8 Now in 3rd place in the NL West

But...it's not over 'til the fat lady sings and we have many many more months of baseball to go.

As a side note...Pitcher Wade Miley is part of this weekend's Diamondback festivities.  At Saturday's game, they're giving out Wade Miley Gnomes as part of Dback's promotions.  Apparently, this young man has an obsession with gnomes! Now isn't that cute? I won't be at the game as I will be in New Orleans for the Jazz Festival, but I am getting mine through a friend who will be attending the game in my place. **squees with delight**  I can't wait to add it to my growing collection of Dback's memorbillia!
