HUMPDAY HOOK~14~

Top of the morning to ya'll! How's the humpin' been going today? I wracked my brain trying to figure out what I should post for you since next week I will be in the middle of 3 Valentine's Day Blog Hops! Two of which will be listed here on my blog and the other on my website www.kathleengrieve.com.  I finally decided to share a bit from my current release, The Doctor's Deception available for purchase here: http://www.evernightpublishing.com/the-doctors-deception-by-kathleen-grieve/  My hero, Dr. Stone Lassiter is trying to make up after a fight with nurse Faith Daniels who shares my obsession for chocolate! LOL

“Wait,” he interrupted. “I’m not sure where things went wrong

this morning, but I want to apologize.” He brought his hands forward and exposed an enormous square box. “I’m not above using bribery to get what I want.” His gaze burned with intense heat. “And, I want you.”

Her heart fluttered against her ribcage. She tried to ignore the

excitement coursing through her veins and peered at the package in his grasp. Gold script, with a familiar emblem a few shades darker than the container itself, teased her. Her eyes widened. She gasped.

Godiva Chocolate?

Her knees trembled. She leaned heavily against the door. Oh, she was in T-R-O-U-B-L-E.

That's it for today's Hump Day Hook! Don't forget to check out the other fabulous authors sharing their hooks this week here: http://humpdayhook.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/hump-day-hook-sign-up-for-feb-6th.html?m=1  You won't be disappointed because we have a wide variety of different genres which I thoroughly enjoy reading each week!

As a side note, one of the heart surgeons I work with read this book. When he told me he had loved it and asked "Where can I get your next book?" I was thrilled and about died from embarressment at the same time! I never expected him to READ my story I'd written about a fictional heart surgeon!! When you read Dr. Lassiter's story, you will know why! LOL

Enjoy the rest of your day!

You had me at the mention of chocolate, lol. I used to work retail and we sold Godiva chocolates at the store where I worked, so I knew exactly what the brand was before I read it. That stuff is sinfully delicious...and any man willing to bring a woman some Godiva is a keeper. ;)

Haha! Cute! I hope it was dark chocolate - at least that's good for the heart!

We don't have Godiva chocolates here, so i don't know how good they are, but it does my heart good to see a romantic heroine who has her priorities right.
