If you are a parent overwhelmed with the new diagnosis of your child's diabetes, there is a lot of great information out there for you. These books are available on Amazon. Although I haven't read them personally, they all received great reviews.
Other resources for you would be The American Diabetes Association online at: http://www.diabetes.org/home.jsp .
Of course, don't forget your child's pediatrician. Besides having a list of community resources such as support groups, have him or her refer you to an endocrinolgist. That is a fancy name for a doctor who specializes in diabetes management.

Don't forget Mystery Suspense Author Brenda Novak's Online Auction for JDRF coming in May, 2008! Go to http://www.brendanovak.com/ for details on how you can help raise money for juvenile diabetes!
