SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY~35

Welcome to another round of SSS! I raced for the cure last Sunday, participating in Susan G. Komen's 5K run in Phoenix with my sister who was visiting me from out of town.  We ran in memory of our mother, who passed from breast cancer 3 years ago.

I'm sorry that I couldn't get to all your great posts last week and I appreciate you stopping by and checking out my latest release, Dating 911 available now from Evernight Publishing here:
http://www.evernightpublishing.com/dating-911-by-kathleen-grieve/   My Six are taken from this book.  Jett's first view of Roxanne! Hope you enjoy!

Jett peeled the silver label off his beer bottle.  A whiff of fresh baked cookies reached him.  His mouth watered.  What the hell was that kind of smell doing in a bar?  He scanned the room, but couldn’t discern the source.  Less than a foot away, a woman in a short red sundress stood with her back to him.
Don't forget to stop by http://www.sixsunday.com/ to check out some really awesome authors sharing their work today!! You won't be disappointed and you will find some great reads to add to your TBR pile!!  Also, I will have a chapter from the second book of my Dating Series up on Tuesday Tales this week! You can check it out at this link to follow that blog:
http://tuesdaytales1.blogspot.com/  You won't regret it!

Happy Sunday!
Kathleen

If I was to smell the fresh cookies on this lovely woman in the red dress, I would be hungry for her. I love the use of oddity there. Awesome Six!

I love these six. They awaken two of the most powerful senses - smell and vision. Red, the color of passion, and the scent of freshly baked cookies - an irresistible combination for a man!

Kudos for running the 5k race. It's an amazing feat.

I bet she'd the one who smells like cookies! Very evocative of the senses excerpt, Kathleen!

And so sorry to hear about your mum. I've been hit by breast cancer twice, and it always pains me to hear when someone's battled with the dreaded thing. Big big hugs

I'll let the "silver label" bit pass...'cause I know what sort of beer flavor water that entails....but you know me, always preaching about beer!
this is an excellent six. makes me want to know more.

The way to a man's heart--little red dress and fresh backed cookies. Sounds like the combo has him mesmerized.

That must be a pretty strong smell to stand out in a bar... and such a odd smell to choose... very interesting choice :)
