That is soooo gross!! Don't you think? Unfortunately, it is the reality of too many people at the moment. Unless you live in a box, you may have been sick with the cold or flu or, know someone who is. A recent poll stated that this cold and flu season is worse than it has been over the last two years.
As a nurse, this really surprised me because I haven't thought a flu season was as bad as when H1N1 broke out.
Here are a few tips to avoid getting sick:
~Handwashing!!!! This is the number one tool you have to protect yourself against germs. We touch everything with our hands, so make sure you wash for at least 15 seconds or use a hand sanitizer before you touch your face with your hands.
~If you are sick, stay home! Don't go to work and snarfle on everyone around you. No one wants your germs!
~Take lots of vitamin C.
~Get plenty of rest.
~Get your flu shot!! Even if you get a strain of the flu, at least if you have had your flu shot, your symptoms and length of time you have the flu should be lessened.
Take care of yourselves out there, folks! Its bacteria/viruses 1, people 0!!!
Happy Wednesday!
Kathleen
