Jett Avery definitely wasn’t the type to think in terms of happily ever after. Eyes closed, she sighed heavily. Man, she picked winners, all right. A light tap on the shower stall glass interrupted her musings.
“Rox? Ready for company?” Jett slid the door open and popped his head inside, a boyish grin on his handsome face.
Optimism slightly deflated, her eyes feasted on the perfection of Jett’s male body. Stomach banded in a wad of knots and heat simmering her core, she inhaled a deep breath.
Live in the here and now. There was always time to worry later.
“Maybe,” she said in a husky tone. Forcing all depressing thoughts away, she tossed him a bottle of lilac scented body wash. “Depends on whether you’re any good at washing all those hard to reach places.” She winked.
One handed, he caught the soap easily with eyebrows raised. “A doubter. I see I have my work cut out for me.”
